Hari Om Parents,
Introspection Activity:
Krishna serves as a divine moral compass by emphasizing Dharma (righteous duty) over personal desire, guiding actions toward justice, compassion, and selfless service (Karma Yoga) without attachment to results. Using the analogy of a compass, we divided the directions into values like Honesty, Kindness, Fairness. IBy adopting such positive values kids will learn to navigate life's challenges with resilience and inner peace.
My 24 Teachers
The children solved the riddles for the next set of teachers from Avadhuta Gita. We learnt about Honey Gatherer and the Osprey bird. The bee works hard to store honey, but a gatherer takes it easily. The lesson encourages a lifestyle of minimal needs, relying on the immediate moment for sustenance rather than hoarding wealth.
Similarly, The osprey catches fish but often has to drop it to avoid being attacked by stronger birds (or simply lets go of burdens). Similarly, the seeker should focus intently on their goals while remaining detached from the "prey" (distractions).
Gita Chanting
We learned verse 9 and 10 from Chapter 12 (BV Handbook, pg 25). Remind your child to review the verses regularly.
Gita Regionals will happen on April 18 in Ashram.
The session ended with chanting of Geeta Chapter 15 along with the Pledge recitation in the Temple Hall.
