Hari Om Parents,

IT IS I FOR INTELLIGENCE. Any action that we perform should be accompanied by intelligence. The intellect is the one which will guide us in the right way. Mind should act according to the guidance of the intellect. If so, the mind is certain to be steady. Otherwise it will run hither and thither and ultimately it will destroy the human being. Just as it goes in this story of Ganesha. Narada visited Lord Shiva in Kailash mountain and gave Him a divine fruit called Gnana Pazham. He brought only one fruit and both the sons of Shiva, Ganesha and Muruga, wanted the fruit. So Lord Shiva gave a test that whoever comes first after circling the world will get the fruit. Muruga immediately left in his vehicle which is the peacock. Ganesha's vehicle was a mouse which will move very slowly. But Ganesha used his intelligence. He knew the world and Lord Shiva and Parvathi are one and the same. If He goes around His Father and Mother it will mean going around the world. So He went around them and got the fruit. Such is the power of intelligence.

Let's go according to our intellect.

IT IS J FOR JAPA. Japa is the method which will calm down the mind. Constantly thinking of the Lord is called Japa. The mind has the capability of running hither and thither and its nature is keeping on wandering. But if someone needs to achieve higher goals, the mind is not supposed to run astray. So Japa is the means to make the mind remain focused on its goals. It can make the mind calm down and concentrate on the work to be done. Everyday even just five minutes of Japa will calm our minds and make us concentrate on our works. Japa involves thinking of the Lord.

With Gurudev's blessings
