Hari om,
We started the new year with story of Dhruva.
Am i Dhruva?
Dhruva means FIRM. We asked kids to take one firm resolve that they would follow through the year.
Impressed by Dhruva's story, they all wanted to do Chanting. Hopefully they are chanting "OM NAMO BHAGAVATE VASUDEVAYA".
We learnt multiple things from Dhruva's story:
-From Dhruva's father: We learnt how not be biased.
-From Surichi: We learnt that nothing in this world is greater than supreme Lord
-From Suniti: We learned how to have faith in supreme even during tough times.
-From Dhruva: how to be firm.
Ask kids about the story. And how Dhruva became a guiding star.
We saw story of Utkala (Dhruva's son) and Vena (Dhruva's grandson)
How Vena had made everyone's life miserable and how sages prayed for his downfall to lord yama.
King Prithu was born out of Vena. And he is a form of Lord Vishnu.
And all gods came down on earth to bestow and gift Prithu with multiple gifts.
Kids did tapas in tree pose and chanted.
With Gurus's blessings
Saratha and Geeta
