Oct 5, 2025 - Grade 8 (Sunday PM)

Hari Om Parents & Kids,
We started our class by chanting OM 3 times followed by  the starting prayers.

We then had a brief discussion on what the kids did during Navaratri festival. We discussed the festivals such as Golu, Puja and Garba. We then did a brief discussion of how the knowledge of symbolism helps us in our everyday life to empower us.

We then shifted topics to discussion about Yato Dharma Tato Jaya.
We covered the goal of the topics that we would cover this year and the breakup of the chapters.
We then discussed about the 2 main pillars for Sanatana Dharma / Hinduism namely Karma and Dharma.
We talked about what is Karma and what constitutes good Karma
We then had an interesting group activity followed by a brainstorming session of the lessons from this activity that furthered everyone's understanding of Karma.
We then heard an interesting story that answered 3 important question
1. When is the right time to start the work?
2. Who is the most important person?
3. What is the most important work?

We then chanted Chapter 15: Verses 5 & 6. this was followed by practicing the prayers as our class led the Sunday PM prayers during the Aarti. The kids did a phenomenal job leading the prayers.

We ended our class with the question that Yudhisthira asked Bhisma Pitamah " If one wants to have a good life, what should one do? What kind of actions one should avoid?

We will check the response to this important question in the next session. See you all then..

Regards,
