Oct 05, 2025 - Grade 3 (Sunday PM)

Hari om Parents,

We started the class with 3 om's and opening prayer. "Sahana Vavatu"

After a short revision of the last class – Narada Muni and Ved Vyas and how Ved Vyas came to write the Bhagavatam.

We spoke about how Lord Krishna had a sister called Subhadra. The Pandava prince Arjuna got married to Subhadra. They had a son called Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu lived with Krishna when the Pandavas went in exile.

After many years Abhimanyu got married and had a son called Parikshit.

Ask what the relation of Arjuna is to Parikshith.

Parikshit was a good king and ruled his kingdom well.

One day he was walking by the riverside and heard a Cow and Bull talking. The Cow represents Earth, and the Bull represents Dharma.

We asked the kids what is Dharma?

Purity- Cleanliness of mind and body

Truthfulness- Speaking truth

Kindness- Generous/Daya

Tapas- Discipline, consistently doing things

The Cow was crying that Lord Krishna had left the earth. The Bull had only one leg.

We spoke about the 4 Yugas-

Satya Yuga

Treta Yuga

Dwapara Yuga

Kali Yuga

We discussed about how with the passage of every Yuga 'Dharma – the Bull' lost one leg.

At present the 'Bull' has only one leg. As the Cow and Bull were talking a person came there and started hitting the 'Bull'. He was Kali.

King Parikshit wanted to kill Kali there and then.

But Kali said that God had made him and he should be given a chance to live in some place

King Parikshit told Kali to go and stay in places where there is

no Dharma- people have forgotten God, there is no truthfulness, no kindness, people are greedy and they cheat each other.

We chanted Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15: Verse 5 and 6.

We learnt a Bhajan. "Madhava".

With Gurudev's Blessings
