Hari OM Dear Families,
Welcome to Chinmaya Vrindavan Balavihar – SUN AM session - 3rd Grade.
We are so excited to have the kids back in Balavihar.
Our class began with an opening prayer.
Shlokas:
We all chanted OM 3 times followed by shlokas
"Om Saha Navavatu" (page 8 in My Prayers book)
"Vakratunda Mahakaya" (page 27 in My Prayers book)
"Sarawathi namasthubhyam" (page 12 in My Prayers book)
"Guru Brahma" (page 61 in My Prayers book)
"Buddhir balam" (page 152 in My Prayers book)
We then went around and each kid introduced themselves.
Following the introduction, we learnt some Yoga stretches from Raji aunty.
We then learnt 1st 2 vs of Gurustotram. Please keep practicing at home.
Story Time:
We recapped Grade 2 Superman Hanuman's qualities.
buddhir balam yasho dhairyam nirbhayathvam arogathaa
ajaadyam vaakpatuthvam cha hanumath smaranaath bhaveth"
We then briefly discussed this year's topic- Bala Bhagavatam.
Then we talked about "Avatara" (Coming down).
* When a devotee prays to God with pure heart and would like to meet God in person, God comes down
* When there is decline of Good and rise of evil, God comes down
* To protect good people and destroy evil, God comes down.
Please ask the kids the avatara's of Lord Vishnu.

We kindly ask all children to please bring colors (crayons or color pencils) every session.

Next class on 9/14/25
Please bring the children to balavihar a few minutes before 9.15 am. We want to promptly start by 9.15 am. Please make sure the student is not late and may come at the latest by 9.20 and not later than that.
