Opening Prayers: We all sat straight, criss-cross, hands folded, chanted together 3 Oms, then Sahana Vavatu, Ganesha Slokha -Vakra Tunda, Saraswathi Slokha- Saraswathi Namasthubayam, Guru Slokha - Guru Brahma.
Sloka Chanting: We all together recited Krishnashtakam and practiced a few times.
Attendance: Class Attendance was taken after this.
Class Play: Last week we practiced in the class the lines each kid assigned the specific role has to say on the stage. And kids got a basic idea of how the Class play will be.
Today's class we re-confirmed the roles picked by each kid, and discussed the role of Game show Host(s). Couple of kids decided to switch to Game Show host roles.
Bala Bhagavatam: Discussed Akrura and Kamsa story - where Kamsa sends Akrura to bring Krishna to Mathura from Vrindavan.
Game: Catch the Senses: We divided the class into two groups and asked them to identify 5 team members in each team who will be Sight, Sense, Taste, Touch, Hearing. An object was placed in the middle, and when words like pizza, beautiful painting, violin music, peacock feather, etc were called out -- each respective team member had to grab for the object .This was an interesting game and kids enjoyed playing it.
And then we all went to the Assembly for Aarthi and Pledge, and also chanted Ch 15 in the assembly before aarthi. We watched the Grade 5 Class play.
Our kids lead the Pledge today in the assembly.
Please note: Next few classes we will be practicing in class for the Class Play. Please ensure kids are coming regularly to help make the Class Play a success.
