Opening Prayers: We all sat straight, criss-cross, hands folded, chanted together 3 Oms, then Sahana Vavatu, Ganesha Slokha -Vakra Tunda, Saraswathi Slokha- Saraswathi Namasthubayam, Guru Slokha - Guru Brahma.
Sloka Chanting: We all together recited KrishnaAshtakam.
My 24 Gurus:
Next Guru : Lady with Single Bangle - Through this we learnt that we need to be in solitude, and use this time for Reflection and Introspection and help to achieve big goals. Just like many bangles make more noise than a single bangle. Same way being with more than one person leads to argument, debate, discussion, and does not help achieve our goals.
Next Guru : Snake: Riddle:
I am not really ugly, but people get petrified by me. The earth is my home, but nobody wants to be near me. I am happy to see that some young boys and girls want to keep me as a pet, but mommies still hate me! Who am I?
Lesson from Guru : Snake: Teaches us to live alone and be quiet
Story Time: Through the story of The Most Beautiful Cat- we learnt that it's better to stay quiet and stay out of all drama which makes us a winner in its own way.
Next Guru : Spider: Riddle:
I use my saliva to build my abode anywhere, and use my abode to catch my prey of small insects. Who am I?
Lesson learned: Spider : Just as the spider exudes the thread from its mouth, weaves a web, lives on it and then withdraws into itself, so too the Lord has brought out the world from himself. God has no desires, and He is beyond cause and effect. God manifests Himself as the world and God withdraws the Universe into Himself.
Story Time: The King and the Spider The spider's behavior teaches that perseverance is the key to overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges,Just as the spider did not lose hope after multiple failures, the story emphasizes that one should learn from failures rather than give up.
Next Guru : Larva: Riddle:
I am woolly in the beginning, sheltered and wrapped inside a cocoon, only to come out in flying colors. Who am I?
Lesson learnt: Larva : Teaches us that you become what you think of. Larva thinks of the butterfly, and it becomes the butterfly.
Attendance: Class Attendance was taken after this.
Class Play: We discussed our Class Play with kids last week and we had asked them to inform us of the roles they are interested in the Class Play, each kid informed us of 2 roles they want to do, and in the following weeks we will finalize one role for each kid and provide lines for the same.
Bhagvad Geeta chanting : The video of verses 11,12 from Ch 12 BG was played on TV and we all chanted together.
And then we all went to the Assembly for Aarthi and Pledge, and also chanted Ch 15 in the assembly before aarthi.
We have completed the syllabus from My 24 Gurus, and we learnt many good things from the Gurus, which we can incorporate in our day to day life. It was a very interesting topic for us to learn from.
