Hari Om Parents
With low attendance we did not cover any lessons, instead we conducted activities since the kids did not get a chance so far.
First activity was for them to draw some rangoli designs, They really enjoyed it,
Second was an activity where they had to solve a puzzle in order to learn about God and third was to learn about Guru.
They had to solve for the words awesome, search, real, effulgent, and dynamic. What is the secret in the puzzle, Where is this sacred-secret? , it is everywhere and it is all pervasive, conscious, and it is eternally rooted deep within us. Why do we call it a secret? Because, though He is everywhere, we are unable to see Him; though He is within, we don't recognize Him. How is that possible?
The next activity was a stereogram of "Om." Stereogram is a 3-D image that is hidden in another picture. To view the hidden picture, all you need to do is just stare at it and you will see the picture within the picture. None of the kids could find it until we showed them
To see the hidden image, we need to know the technique and once we grasp it, we can look at the picture any time and we will spot the hidden picture every time as we have mastered the art of looking at the stereogram! Just like the "Om" is hidden and is a secret the Lord is hidden within us. And just like the teachers helped the kids figure out the Om, Guru who has understood this truth will guide you in figuring out the God within you
That is how we introduced God and Guru to the kids.
