Hari Om!
We are happy to share an update from the Grade 2 Sunday PM class. This week, we covered Vēkpatutvam (Eloquence), focusing on how Hanumānji teaches us to speak thoughtfully and effectively.
Class Highlights
Vēkpatutvam (Eloquence)
The main theme of this week's class was eloquence – the ability to speak clearly, thoughtfully, and effectively.
We discussed:
-
What eloquence means
-
How Hanumānji used his words wisely in the Rāmāyaṇa
-
The four keys to being a good speaker:
-
When to speak
-
What to speak
-
How to speak
-
How much to speak
-
We also shared the story of Socrates and the student who had to pay double fees, teaching children the importance of thinking before speaking.
Hanuman Chalisa Practice
We are continuing to practice the Hanuman Chalisa in class.
Please encourage your child to practice at home regularly, as repetition helps them gain confidence in chanting and pronunciation.
In-Class Activity (Attached)
As part of Lesson 10, the children completed a fun and interactive activity based on eloquence and kind speech.
Please see the attached worksheet, which helps reinforce:
-
When to speak vs. when to stay quiet
-
How to rewrite sentences in a kind and thoughtful way
This activity is directly based on Lesson 10 concepts of eloquence and effective communication.
If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your continued support!
