What a fantastic group effort this week! Our class is assigned the big task of setting up for the Saraswati Pooja (to celebrate Navaraatri) for the entire Bala Vihar. And wow, did they rise to the occasion! Soon after arriving, our class jumped right in to help lay out the sheets and set up 250 thaalis. They totally rocked it! The energy in the room was amazing. Students who had already done it for 2 years worked like pros. They were guiding others and arranging everything so beautifully that there really wasn't much for us teachers to do except guide them along and watch it all come together.
Once everything was ready, the kids joined the rest of Bala Vihar to participate in the Pooja, a lovely moment of devotion, celebrating together. Afterward, without missing a beat, they all helped clean up. They broomed the place with the Indian-style jhaadu too and left the whole temple premises spotless! Swamiji was impressed that they were cleaning up so well! It was cheerful teamwork all the way through.
