We all chanted OM 3 times followed by shloka

Letter B - Brotherhood is a Sense of togetherness, showing love, respect, caring and sharing and belonging among members of a family, neighborhood, city, organization and the world.
Brotherhood can be achieved by realizing that each individual is unique and every individual bringing forth unique characteristics make the world special. And the whole world is one big family.
The Whole World is My Family : We discussed together how we are part of Earth and how homes belong to neighborhoods, neighborhoods make up cities, cities together make up States, States together make up Countries, and Countries make up Continents and Continents make up Planet Earth which is our home. Kids actively participated in this discussion.
This is "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" - Vasudhaiva in Sanskrit refers to Mother Earth and Kutumba means Family - and hence it means that the Whole Earth, the Whole World is One Big Family.
Story Time: Some crayons were mad and jealous at the other color crayons, but when a girl gathered all of them and used them in a picture, all crayons collectively brought in the multi-colored joy and exchanged friendship, leaving the hate and jealousy. - we learned that just like crayons, each of us are unique and special. Only by respecting each other's individuality, and living in the brotherhood spirit, we together complete the picture of life.
We had a short class today as we had house inaugural session and fun activities. Kids were in blue color dresses showing the team spirit- team krishna cowboys. It was a lot of fun.
Next balavihar class is Sunday 10/05 and the kids can be dropped off in the class directly before 9.15 am. Please make kids wear attractive Indian outfits since we will celebrate saraswathy pooja as part of navaratri festivities.

Class Rules and requirements:
1. Children should bring their notebook for likhita japa and writing alphabets. Balavihar handbook (we will provide soon) pencils and erasers and crayons. ( Please bring your own items if kids are allergic)

NO snacks please. Please give them a good breakfast before coming to Balavihar. Also make sure they use the bathroom before going into the class.
3. Please bring the children to balavihar a few minutes before 9.15. We want to promptly start by 9.15. Please make sure the student is not late and may come latest by 9.20 and not later than that.
