My Teachers
Activity:
The children were given sheets and they had to draw Mother Earth. They had a lot of fun adding a "selfie" of themselves hugging Mother Earth!
We then asked them what is special about our planet. They took turns and gave interesting answers.
We discussed what lessons we can learn from Earth like patience and forgiveness. We spoke about the lessons we can learn from Nature like helping others.
Going forward the children will be illustrating the 24 Teachers one-by-one. And we will consolidate the pages into a Handbook by the end of this BV year.
We wrapped up class early to participate in the BV Houses Inaugural today.
The theme was "Bhaktas" or devotees, and the children sang bhajans, watched videos on the life story of 4 great devotees.
Next they did Adi Pradakshinam, super brain yoga, and namaskarams. They earned points after solving puzzles on the devotees and answering questions about them.
Our House, Krishna's Cowboys, came in second place! Good job Grade 4! The session ended with the Pledge recitation.
Bala Vihar will be on Navratri break next week. Wishing all Grade 4 families a joyous and blessed Navratri festival!
