Week 2 Update
We were excited to welcome the kids back to class; we also had a new student starting with us today.
After attendance, kids spent 5-7 minutes doing Likhita Japa.
Shlokas
Om chanting, Sahana Vavatu, Vakratunda Mahakaya, Saraswati Namastubhyam, Guru Brahma and Mrityunjaya Stotram. The class learned the first verse from Krishna Ashtakam Stotram.
Then the children took turns with the Bhagavatam recap where we recollected stories about Narasimha, Vamana and Rama avatars.
My 24 Teachers
We started Chapter 1 of My 24 teachers explaining why we all seek a teacher. We discussed the conversation of Sage Dattatreya and King Yadu, where the sage explains the lessons he has learned from 24 different individuals and creatures. They are the reasons for his joy, happiness and wisdom. We began the discussion on Earth as a teacher and explored the lessons that the planet has to offer.
We have asked the kids to think of different lessons that we can learn from Planet Earth for next week.
Gita Chanting- Chapter 15
We recited the first two verses and wrapped up the class to go to the prayer hall for Aarti and Pledge recitation.
Next Week 09/21/25
We have the Houses Inaugural and have requested the kids to wear their best blue colors representing Krishna's Cowboys. We have rehearsed the house theme song Hey Murali Shridhara.
