Hari om,
It was very lovely to see all the kids back to our First session. Welcome to the new kids and parents.
We did start our class with 3 OM chants and followed by om sahana vavatu prayer and closing prayer.
We would like you to go over them with kids .
In today's class we covered Chapter 1 and 2.
Chapter 1:
We did discuss with kids about Ayodhya, its meaning, beauty of the kingdom, mode of transportation, and people's daily routine in the city. The king Dasratha and his 3 wives , about his ministers and Guru. We did share the Indian map and the location of Ayodhya on it.
Why was King Unhappy , why did he go to Sage Vasistha and Vmadeva.
How he ends up having Putra kamestu yagna suggested by Sage Rishyasringa.
Chapter 2 :
What is Yagna, how we do it, why we do it.
King Dasratha and queens offered the ghee in the holy fire. She gave queen Payasam. Kausalya and Kaikayei did have it and gave their half to sumitra as she was in the palace while this yagna was going on. So as a result she gets 2 kids and the other 2 queens get 1 son Rama , Lakshman, bharatha, Shatrugna.
We learned the Morals like sharing, helping, seeking advice from Guru if we have some trouble .
We met all Parents and shared the details about the curriculum and a few important dates about our house activities, play, Annadanam.
