My 24 Gurus :

Next Guru : Pingala Dancer

Who Am I ?

  • People are enchanted with my beauty

  • I use my looks and talent to impress others

  • With passage of time, I lose my abilities

  • I like to impress others

  • I love to dance

Through the story of the Pingala Dancer we learnt not to have expectations, because when we expect, we are bound to get disappointed, instead we should turn our attention to the Lord who will keep us happy always and love us unconditionally.

Next Guru: Osprey

Who Am I ?

  • I resemble an eagle

  • I fly like an eagle

  • I am much smaller

  • I perch and build nest on treetops

  • I love to catch fish from ponds

Through the story of the Osprey we learnt that we undergo all sorts of troubles and miseries when we runs after sensuous pleasures, and become happy when we abandons the sensual pleasures. When we become fond of some objects, that very possession will cause unhappiness. Once that is abandoned, we gain happiness.

Story time: The Greatest Treasure and the Flute: Through this story we learnt that Attachment to objects brings misery. The moment the attachment is given up, there is peace, happiness and calm.

Story time: Ramu in Luck: Through this story we learnt we only need warmth and love to be happy, not possessions!

Game time: Krishna catching Serpents One kid was Krishna and he had to touch any kid (acting as Kalinga serpent) who was standing nearby, the kids could move around and had to sit down when Krishna was near them to avoid getting caught.

Few kids took turns being Krisnha and all kids had fun playing this game.

Yoga time: Kids did yoga poses on their own and did some poses they learnt in the last class.

Bhagvad Geeta chanting : The video of verses 7,8 from Ch 12 BG was played on TV and we all chanted together.

After this,we all went to the Prayer Hall and chanted together B. G. Chapter 15 and a few of our class kids lead the chanting, which was also recorded by the TV channel.

Then we watched the Grade 7 play and concluded with the Pledge.

Class slides from today's class  shared as pdf in the parents group.

We had a very interactive online class, all the kids participated very well and kept the class lively throughout.
