Mar 8, 2026 - Grade 3 (Sunday PM)

Hari om Parents,

We learnt about 3 different stories this week. All about great kings who lived and taught in the great land of India (Bharath).

King Rishaba:

He was a great king, and although he was a king, he lived like a sage. He treated everyone fairly and saw divinity in each one of them. As a result, he loved and was loved by all his people in his kingdom. He taught both his sons and people how to lead a divine life and see god in everyone and everything.

Ask kids about Rishaba putting a marble in his mouth. What was the reason, and what did he achieve?

After a certain time, he passed on his kingdom to his son Bharatha.

King Bharatha:

He again followed his father's path and led the kingdom well. He was a great devotee; after fulfilling all his responsibilities, he moved to the forest to immerse himself in prayer. Unfortunately, he was sidetracked by getting attached to a deer.

Ask kids about the Jadabharathar story and what they learnt from the story.

We finished with the story of Ajamila.

What is the significance of taking god's name?

What happened to Ajamila at the beginning and at the end?

Please have them reflect on the stories and talk about their takeaways.

With Guru's Blessings
