My 24 Gurus :

Story Time: Thru the Story of the Monkey and the Orange hidden in Coconut shell - we learnt not to be greedy.

Karma and Nishkam Karma: We discussed what Karma is, how to build Good Karma thru good actions and how we sometimes end up with bad karma knowingly and Unknowingly.

Next Guru : HoneyGatherer/BeeKeeper

Who Am I ?

You may think I am a thief.
I loot hard earned savings of busy workaholics.
Not only that, I drive them out of their homes.
But, in the end, people enjoy the sweet rewards, my loot.

Bees collect honey with great trouble, but beekeepers take away honey depriving the bees.

Honey-gatherers/ BeeKeepers teach us to judiciously enjoy what we have saved and share it with everyone too.

Story time: Thru of the story of Barber and the Seven pots of Diamonds and Gems, we learnt that we should not hoard and learn to have only what we need, enjoy what we have and live happily.

Bala Bhagavatam:

Krishna and Govardhan pooja - A quick recap of this story, Kids responded well and stated all the key points in this story.

Trees are Noble :  We shared with the kids that Krishna and the Gopis and Gopikas discussed  how great all the Trees are. How they give shelter, fruits, flowers, leaves fragrance, their bark etc. for the welfare of everyone, do not discriminate and at the same time endure the sun, rain and winds, stay strong and are always a Giver to all and hence are Noble.

Little Krishna and the Brahmin ladies:: Through this story we learnt of the boundless love and devotion the Brahmin ladies had for Little Krishna and how Krishna blessed them and forever lived in their hearts and relished the delicious food made by them.

Story time: The King and the Magic Mirror: Thru this story we learnt that we should enjoy nature, sunlight, fresh air,  go for long walks in the nature, mountains etc, and not overindulge in food, drink and waste life in merriment.

Gopi Geet: We learnt how the Gopis having the company of Krishna all the time, became arrogant ,were behaving badly, and became selfish and wanted Krishna for themselves.
Lord Krishna to teach them a lesson, suddenly disappeared. And the Gopis went searching, crying for him all over and then realised their mistake and showed their repentance, surrender and love to Krishna through Gopi Geet. We listened to part of the Gopi Geet and provided the details to the kids - Full video is here -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeiU_xQEmfs&list=RDWeiU_xQEmfs&start_radio=1

And then we had some fun time with kids sharing about the different activities they participate in and shared their hobbies and prized possessions like art set, lego creations, painting, books etc.

After this, we said our Closing Prayers and ended the class.
