Hari Om Parents,
We started our Balavihar class with Sahanavavatu.
It was house spirit day at Balavihar. We had to do two activities to earn house points.
1. Plough Ball Passing- kids were laying on mats and passing Ball using their feet and the last child was supposed to put in Bucket.
Our children did a fantastic job and they are so flexible. We loved the enthusiasm.
2. Animal Walk: - Every kid had to pick a name and do the walk as those animals.
These little cuties were fantastic animal walkers. Some did terrific Penguins, Ducks, Gorillas, Monkey, Inchworm, Seal, crab.
We did a bit of Meditation to calm down our minds after so much excitement and fun.
Then it was time to go to the main hall to join our other house team members and do the activities with them. There were two more activities.
1. Passing Hula Hoop from start to end without losing the train.
2. Transporting all kids from one end of hall to another using two mats and not stepping on the floor.
It was a lot of fun filled spirit activities and showed us how they can do things in a group. All our kids learnt team spirit along with having fun.
Stay warm and safe as we expect the Blizzard and snowstorm this weekend.
Please make children practice as Chapter 15 as this is for our global chanting on May 9th 2026. And for our annual Gita Yagna its Bhagavad Gita Chapter 12 (1-20 shlokas) which is also available in the 2025-26 year handbook.
Few important notes and points.
1. We request everyone to make sure children are present in the class a few mins before 7pm.
2. Please send a folder to class to keep the handed out Letters and crafts as we plan to do a book with them. Please preserve the papers as we are often hearing students throw them out.
3. Please send crayons, pencils, Glue and erasers in a box.
4. Make sure children use the bathroom before coming to class so that we don't take bathroom breaks unless there is an emergency.
5. Please join whatsapp group and communicate with teachers in case your child is unable to come to class.
6. Kindly check our messages and emails which are being shared so that important information is not missed out.
