We wish everyone a Very Happy 2026. Today's Balavihar class was started by our opening prayers.
We recapped all the alphabets we learnt till today.
Letter 'A' – for Aspiration- What and how focused Arjuna was and to achieve what we want to do is Aspiration. We recalled how we played the game of reaching high goals. Also we recalled on the story about how, what can God do and kids recalled how they enacted the Story.
Letter 'B'- for Brotherhood. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a Sanskrit phrase that means "The world is one family".
Letter 'C- for cleanliness is next to Godliness. We clean our body by brushing and taking bath. We keep surrounding clean by vacuuming the house, putting things away after playing and cleaning our rooms. We don't see bad, we don't talk bad and we don't hear bad and keep our mind and heart clean.
Letter 'D' – for Daddy. Pitru Devo bhava. Dad love us and always play with us and do things for us.
Letter 'E' – for Enthusiasm- Enthusiasm means to do with eagerness.
Letter –'F' – for friendship- A friend indeed is a friend indeed.
Letter –'G' – for God- God is everywhere, can do everything. We can treat God as friend father, guide, and teacher.
Letter- 'H' – for Happiness- We must learnt to be happy all the time, we get what we get and we don't get upset.
Letter –'I'- for Intelligence- Intelligence is something which we used to make the right decisions.
Letter- 'J'- for Jaapa- Jaap means chanting god's name with love and devotion constantly.
Letter – 'K'- for kindness – We talked about the kindness how Androcles was kind to the lion. We can be kind to anyone and everyone there is no discrimination to be kind.
Letter – 'L' -for Love- Love is something which is given unconditionally. We recalled how we cut a heart piece and distributed to every student. We request this to be brought back to class when we meet next time.
Letter 'M'- for Mom- our moms love us and do things to us with unconditional love. Matru devo bhava.
Letter 'N' – for Nobility- we recapped about the two Nobel people we learnt. Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Theresa who served the community.
We also recapped on the train story of Gandhi ji how he threw the shoe off the train when while boarding the train one of his shoes fell down.
Many students recalled what we did and we are very proud they remembered well on the topics covered so far.
We moved to next letter.
Letter 'O' - We learnt various which start with letter o but the word which we were trying to teach is Obedient.
When we asked what would happen if everyone on the road didn't follow the traffic rules.
When your mom is cooking if you go near the kitchen stove and don't listen what would happen- they would get burn with hot substances.
We also asked what would happen when we don't obey, they answered so well that we need to obey rules by Government, Teachers and Parents.
We watched the story of Red Riding Hood who didn't obey her mom instructing her not to talk to strangers and she encountered the wolf and got into trouble.
We also watched another story of little chicken who didn't obey her mom and ate a corn and how her mom had to undergo trouble to help the little chicken.
We played the game Raama Says. It was fun with little boys and girls.
We moved on to our next letter. Not P or Q , we moved to
Letter 'R' – is for Right. What is right and what is wrong.
We discussed the right things and wrong things and also watched a video on Right Vs Wrong.
We recollected the song Khate Bhi Ram Kaho.

We chanted Bhagavad gita chapter 12 and learnt verse 1 . Please make children practice as Chapter 15 as this is for our global chanting on May 9th 2026. It was finally time to go home so we headed to Prayer hall for Aarthi and Pledge.
WE DONOT HAVE BALAVIHAR ON 16TH Jan. WE SHALL MEET ON 23rd Jan.
NOTE:- The curriculum for Kindergarten is Alphabet Safari, Please purchase the book from book store, kindly collect the handbook as well since we will be learning Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15 (1-20 shlokas) and Bhagavad Gita Chapter 12 (1-20 shlokas) is available in the 2025-26 year handbook.
Few important notes and points.
1. We request everyone to make sure children are present in the class a few mins before 7pm.
2. Please send a folder to class to keep the handed out Letters and crafts as we plan to do a book with them. Please preserve the papers as we are often hearing students we threw them out.
3. Please send crayons, pencils, Glue and erasers in a box.
4. Make sure children use the bathroom before coming to class so that we don't take bathroom breaks unless there is an emergency.
5. Please join what's app group and communicate with teachers in case your child is unable to come to class.
6. Kindly check our messages and emails which are being shared so that important information is not missed out.
