We started our class with opening prayers and Saraswati Mantra.
We recapped the letters. Only 1 child brought back the heart piece puzzle.

Gita- we practiced our Gita verses, Chapter 15. Kids need to learn Verses 1-8.

Story- Kids heard about Chinku the baby panda who did not want to go to school. His Mom gave Chinku a kiss on the palm and asked him to press his palm on his cheek whenever he misses her.
Story- Rudra decides to not do his chores one day and wanted money for his chores. Rudra's mom patiently writes a letter stating all of the things she does for $0 payment: wake up early, prepare his breakfast, lunch, dinner, do laundry, shopping, drop him off to school, take him to his activities. Rudra felt ashamed and realized how much his mother does. He does his chores without asking for anything in return. Moral- Do not make demands when you love someone.
We briefly learned about Mother Nature, Mother Earth, Mother India, Mother Cow, and Mother Sruti and realized about how much we get from them as well.
Game- Kids played Mother says, instead of Simon says. Minakshi did well both rounds.
We moved to the next Chapter- N is for Nobility.
STORY- Kids heard about the Mother cow who is about to be eaten by the Lion. She pleads with the lion to wait 1 hour so that she can feed her calf and find another cow to take care of her. Mother Cow tells her calf to never lie and live by your word. The lion is surprised when the Mother Cow returns. He feels sorry for her and does not eat her.
Moral- Being truthful has its rewards.
NOBLE People- we showed kids Gandhi ji and Mother Teresa. When Gandhi Ji's shoe falls on the track, he drops his second shoe so that the person who finds them will have both shoes. Mother Teresa's calling was to help the poor. She believed that children are gifts of God. Let everything we do be something beautiful for God.
GAME- we played a game where Viyaan had fallen on the ground. The rest of the kids did not help. We asked Neel to help him get up and give him a hug. This was an example of what a noble person would do for others.
Gita- we practiced our Gita verses, Chapter 15. Kids need to learn Verses 1-8.
MANTRA- we learned the mantra before meals. Please kindly have children memorize it.
Brahmarpanam brahma havih brahmagnau brahmana hutam, brahmaiva tena gantavyam brahma karma samadhina.
