Hari OM Dear Families,
Here is this week's update.
Week : 1
7th Sept 2025 / 9:15AMShlokas-
We all chanted OM 3 times followed by shloka
"Om Saha Navavatu" (page 8 in My Prayers book)
We introduced ourselves playing an ice breaker game, passing the squishy and telling our names with our favorite god and a fun fact about the self.
We started our topic for today "God" with 3 questions.
Who is God ? - God is He, who can do what no one else can do.Where is God ? - God is everywhere
What does God do? - God can do anything and everything.
Our story for today was based on these questions.
Story time - there was once a king who had three questions: who is God, where is God and what does God do. He asked his minister. The minister was confused at such questions, so the king gave him a week's time to answer. If The minister was not going to answer in a week's time, he would be punished, said the king. The minister went back home. He was so confused and worried. Seeing his state, his cook came to help. He said, "let me help you sir, take me to the king." The king was surprised to see the cook wants to give the answer but more than the surprise he wanted the answers. The cook politely said, the answer for the first question "who is God" he answered he wants to be in the king's throne and the king on the floor. The cook sat on the throne. The god is one who makes the impossible possible. For the second question "where is God" he wanted a candle and a Mitch stick. He made sure the room was dark and just lit the candle where the light fell all over the place, saying god is all over the place. For the third question, he asked for a brown cow, a bundle of green grass and a bucket of milk. He answered the king, that god makes a brown cow eat green grass and give white milk. This is what God is doing now
The king understood his ignorance and thanked the cook for enlightening.

After the story time, we made the kids color their name tag and write their names. This needs to be stuck in their balavihar notebook. We had a short welcome meet with the parents where we went over this year's curriculum and other logistics. We then went to the temple hall for arti.
