Hari Om,
We started with Om and our opening prayer Om Saha Navavatu. It was a short class because of our first House event. Kindergarten class is in Krishna's cowboys house. Kids were beautifully dressed in blue.
We learned our Krishna bhajan- Hai Murali Shridhara.
We were able to start on chapter 3- A is for Aspiration. First, we asked kids words that start with A. Then we defined aspiration to them - the determination to achieve our goal and asked each one what their aspiration is- what they want to be when they grow up? Some answers were: pilot, police officer, gymnast, artist. We played a game asking each one if they can reach a ruler that was high, at their level, and one that was low, explaining that sometimes a goal that is too high is not plausible.
Kids entered the temple hall waving their blue flags for team Krishna. Viyaan led the Krishna bhajan- he did great! Each team did Adi Pradakshinam, Thoppu Karanam, and Namaskarams to the Gods in the temple. After accumulating tickets, they solved the puzzles. In addition, the team earned points by answering questions about the Bhaktas that they watched videos on. Everyone enjoyed the team-building activities. Krishna's cowboys won!
There is no class next week.
