Hari om,
We started our class with 3 OM chants and followed by om sahana vavatu prayer and closing prayer.
We would like you to go over them with kids . New kids are still joining us so we had an introduction session where each kid had to say their name and rest kids would say Hari om to him.her. So we know each other better.
We did start our class by Re capping so our new students can learn as well.
In today's class we covered Chapter 3 and 4.
Chapter 3:
Here we learned about how Sage Vishvamitra requests King Dasratha to send Rama and Lakshman with him to rescue their Yagna. Few demons like Subahu and Maricha, Tataka were trying to obstruct the Yagna. So he thought Rama and Lakshman were capable of fighting them. Dasratha and Queens were upset and scared to send them, but Guru Vasistha ensured them . So with a heavy heart they let Rama and Lakshmana go with Sage Vishvamitra .
Chapter 4 :
All 3 of them walked through the forest but then they took a rest in the Kamasrma ashram. Early in the morning they offered prayer to Holy Ganga and went to the Dandaka forest. Here we learn about how the lush green Dandaka forest turned into a dry and all black forest. No trees, no flowers, no rain , all snakes and other such animals were there. Subahu and Maricha were taken care of by Rama and Lakshman, but tataka was more strong and fierceful. She was a beautiful princess but she was cursed by Sage Agastya, So when Rama saw her he was like i will not fight or harm her. But then Sage Vishvamitra explains to him its your Dharma and you are a Kshrtiya who always follows Dharma. So as soon as Rama twings his arrow tataka dies and a beautiful Princess appears back again. Back the Forest became green again .
We learned the Morals like follow your Dharma, help , be kind.
We did give an assignment to all kids like they will be helping parents in 1 job that parents are doing for them ; to understand the importance of Dharma and how selflessly parents do everything for their child.
We will be coloring Rama paduka throughout the Map through his Journey . For now we started from Ayodhya, Ganga River and Dandaka Forest.We did color the Bala ramayan Lesson 3 and 4 , Rest pages 1 2 and 3 were given for homework. All the kids wrote likhita japa .
We met new Parents and shared the details about the curriculum and a few important dates about our house activities, play, Annadanam.

Gita Chanting- Chapter 15
We recited the first two verses and wrapped up the class to go to the prayer hall for Aarti and Pledge recitation.
We have the Houses Inaugural and have requested the kids to wear their best Red colors representing Durga Daredevils . Our house song is Amba Parmeshwaari found in My Prayers book .
It was very great to have your kids. We have both teachers copied this email ,if you need any help. Let's meet next Sunday for some more new stories and activities.
