Hari Om parents,
As children were pouring in, they started the class with Likhita japa writing Sri Rama Jayam.
Quiet time : was with eyes closed, sitting straight and quiet chanting of Sri Ram Jaya Ram Jaya Jaya Ram.
Class:
Brainstormed with the children about animals with a backbone and without backbone and divided them into 2 groups - vertebrates and invertebrates. We discussed the importance of backbone because of which we are able to stand and sit. Here, we introduced the concept of another backbone for humans, an invisible backbone which was explained with below story.
This story was about a king who was in search for his successor.
Moral of the story : have a strong invisible backbone which is based on Values like honesty and truthfulness.

Goal was to have the children focus this was done by having the children pay attention and keep a count of how many times Rama was mentioned.

In today's class we learnt to chat verses 1 & 2.
As part of their homework this week, we would like the children to find out five different names of Hanuman.
